Most YouTube videos about Sigma Males portray the Sigma Male as:

• Quiet
• Withdrawn
• Sullen
• Deeply Serious
• Highly Athletic
• Macho Man
• Working Out at the Gym Every Day
• Babe Magnet
• A Keanu Reeves / Batman / Genius / Superhero, who is a legend only within his own mind!

These things are NOT what characterizes a Sigma Male.

It seems that there is a lot of wannabe Sigma Males out there who seek a sense of identity merely by relating to a personality concept, working out a ton, and then trying to bed women by portraying something he is in fact not!

If this is what you think a Sigma Male is, then you are not a Sigma Male; but perhaps you could be, if you were properly educated and were willing to make some big changes.

In my previous essay and video entitled, Keanu Reeves—Batman—and the Sigma Male Deconstructed, I offered an extensive list of what I identify as a Sigma Male. I derived over half of my list from the YouTube video I first watched on the subject, about 30% of what that video said I completely discarded, and then I added about 40 more statement provisions from my own perspective and experience on what I consider the ideal Sigma Male to be.  If you have not yet watched the video and read my essay, you really should.

As I stated in the comments on my first video and essay, we need to be very careful about not being deceived by the Clickbait sensationalism on YouTube or all the exaggerated, off the chart, far out renditions of the Sigma Male found in Hollywood movies and TV shows.

In real life, Sigma Males are real men. Real men are mature, skilled, capable, wise, and careful people. Real men embrace responsibility. Real men have wives and kids. Real men are warm and affectionate. They smile and are appropriately playful. Real men are not players. They are not womanizers. They are not whoremongers. They are spiritual, ethical, and honorable.  

The Sigma Male characterization is the byproduct of advanced intelligence, deliberative goodness, and years of character development. It is not a religion; it is a mode of being.

I offer my rendition of the Sigma Male as an approximate rendition of the ideal man.

As we sincerely do our best to follow our best approximation of the ideal man, as long as that approximation is intelligent, virtuous, moral, and honorable, we will be moving closer to what God is and what God wants us to be.

The purpose of the Sigma Male, or the ideal man, is to move from chaos to creation. He dives into a sea of chaos, fights off and triumphs over the monsters and demons in his life, creates a refuge from the storm, and shelters a wife and children. He provides security, safety, stability, the necessities of life, love, edification, nurture, and truthful teachings to his family and within his community.

The Sigma Male is not a head-banger, rapper, or media junky, filling his head with vanity, profanity, or cultural nonsense. He is not a gamer, a druggy, a social media zombie, a fantasy nerd, or a millennial snowflake. He is not duped by leftist ideology or political propaganda. Rather, with every passing day, he knows better and better who and what God is and is working to move closer to that superlative ideal.
