In my chapter/essay entitled, The Gospel of Unity, I discuss memorizing scriptures as a way of amplifying faith and enabling repentance. As an example, Jesus memorized and frequently quoted the scriptures for many reasons. In an effort to follow his example, I have began memorizing scriptures to help me in applying the doctrine of Christ in my life.
I have begun targeting scriptures that I think would be powerful and useful to have memorized for multiple reasons. These lists are only a beginning, but there is enough here to keep me busy for at least a month. I encourage others to seek inspiration in making their own lists and memorizing the best scriptures.
