The Doctrine of Renewal

I just uploaded a video to my YouTube Channel on the Doctrine of Renewal.

Here are the scriptures I quoted and a comment I added in the comments section for the video.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall “mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

“And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove [what is] good, and acceptable, and perfect, [according to the] will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

“For whoso is faithful unto the obtaining these two priesthoods of which I have spoken, and the magnifying their calling, are sanctified by the Spirit unto the renewing of their bodies. They become the sons of Moses and of Aaron and the seed of Abraham, and the church and kingdom, and the elect of God.” (D&C 84:33 – 34)

There is much that has not been said in this video on this topic that, perhaps, really should be said. In particular, it needs to be mentioned that quite often this renewal of which I speak does not happen this way. Often enough, we are required to wear out ourselves in the service of our God, but in each case, the Lord gives us what we need to accomplish his purposes in us.

This is a good prayer to pray: “Oh Lord, I pray for strength and ability to accomplish thy purposes in me.”
